Mike Kenny has more than 25 years of experience in providing financial advisory and management services to clients in growth, plateau and distressed situations. Industries served include consumer products, logistics, construction, automotive suppliers, auto dealerships, grocers, food processing, universities and various service firms. He has also acted as an interim CFO for a $150MM collection agency, a $150MM construction firm, a $30MM auto supplier and a $10MM fruit processor.
Mike has extensive experience in preparing and evaluating financial projections and plans, evaluating working capital and cash-flow needs, completing liquidation and viability analysis, developing and recommending profitability improvements, and negotiating debt restructuring. In addition, he has performed quality of earnings analysis for seller due diligence and bank underwriting efforts and managed post merger integrations and stand alone entity creations.
Prior to founding CFO Advise LLC, Mike worked as a restructuring turn-around consultant for Crowe Horwath LLP for 9 years and a business consultant in the previous year. Before entering consulting, Mike held various controller and FP&A roles for private and public companies and served as a public accountant for international firms.
Mike holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting degree from the University of Michigan and a Master of Business Administration degree from Grand Valley State University. He is an active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in the state of Michigan and a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA) through the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors (AIRA).
